Exient was an opportunity to work on a high profile toy franchise that connected to a standalone F2P game – Furby Connect World. The project was incredibly challenging, especially as it was being developed for children which required incredibly ethical monetisation solutions – something I’m passionate about.
When I wasn’t mentoring my team or developing mechanics, I spent time educating the office in F2P development and servicing, and being one of the main points of contact with Hasbro, our development partners for the project.

This was a huge undertaking for Exient, working on a completely new style of game with a large technological hurdle to overcome in the form of getting a cuddly toy to communicate with a mobile device via BlueTooth.
I designed the game from concept until just before launch. I ended up being one of the key points of communication between Exient and Hasbro, visiting Pawtucket to liaise with their team and London to visit the Playlab on several occasions.
